Fellow Students,
My name is Adam Harris, and it is my pleasure to introduce myself as your Vice President Academic Affairs for 2008-2009. Throughout the year, my main objective is to be a source of information to all students on matters of academic interest. I plan to work very hard to give as many students as possible the tools they need to do well throughout their academic career while at Saint Mary’s. The VP Academic position also represents the voice of students at many academic related forums, such as Academic Senate and other committees.
There are many academic issues for students, including doing well in class, having the right support, and appealing a final grade. Here at SMUSA, we have many resources for students to utilize, such as the Online Professor Review, the Book Exchange, and the Tutor Database. I am also working to implement new ideas and services. Also, make sure you are up to date with all of SMU’s academic regulations and policies, and come to see me if you have any questions about academic appeals. I am here to answer your questions or concerns about any of these issues or services. I look forward to meeting you.
